Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar to star in remake of Malayalam movie

Malayalam movie Kodathi Samaksham Balan Vakeel, starring Malayalam actor Dileep is not only getting raving reviews from critics and fans alike, also clocking more than average numbers at the box-office. In the wake of the film’s success, report in Silverscreen reveals that the Kodathi Samaksham Balan Vakeel, in which Dileep plays an advocate who stammers, could soon get a Bollywood remake. Report suggests that director of the film, Unni Krishnan, is already in talks with two a-list Bollywood stars – Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar, to star in the potential remake.

Earlier Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar had starred together in Yash Chopra’s Dil Toh Pagal Hai (1997) with Karisma Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit. Two actors have also done cameos in each others movies in the past. Shah Rukh Khan did a cameo in Akshay Kumar’s Heyy Babyy, which was directed by Sajid Khan while Akshay Kumar also had a cameo in SRK’s Om Shanti Om, which was directed by Farah Khan.

One thing is for sure. Fans would be extatic to watch SRK and Akki on the big-screen together. Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay Kumar is prepping for his upcoming film Kesari. The film tells the story of the Battle of Saragarhi. The trailer of the film was released last week and has had fans buzzing on social media.
